This is a short introduction to the new Ossuary at Roselawn. As you can see from the photo below, there is a circular sidewalk that leads you to the sculpture. The sidewalk is lined with granite blocks. Each of these blocks will hold the names and dates of persons interred in the Ossuary. The sculpture itself is all made of bronze and the sphere has handprints of all ages cast into it. There is a locking system on the sphere and once unlocked the sphere can be turned and it will rise up to reveal a door where the cremains can enter. The cremains will then pass through some musical symbols. The sphere turns down and then locks back into place.
Sculpture by Nick Legeros The cost per person is $495.00. This covers interment, names and dates and all records. Anyone with questions may call Larry or Dave at Roselawn (651-489-1720).
The Garden of Remembrance was designed, in 1985, to hold cremation urns. It was constructed in one of the cemetery's most beautiful natural surroundings.
