Nestled near the heart of the cemetery, this final resting place is set into an embankment accented with flowering topiary planters.
This is a short introduction to the new Ossuary at Roselawn. As you can see from the photo below, there is a circular sidewalk that leads you to the sculpture. The sidewalk is lined with granite blocks. Each of these blocks will hold the names and dates of persons interred in the Ossuary. The sculpture itself is all made of bronze and the sphere has handprints of all ages cast into it. There is a locking system on the sphere and once unlocked the sphere can be turned and it will rise up to reveal a door where the cremains can enter. The cremains will then pass by a musical cymbal. The sphere turns down and then locks back into place.
