Roselawn Cemetery in Roseville, Minnesota

At Roselawn, we value the importance of permanent placement, memorialization and service excellence.

The cemetery is a non-profit association governed by Roselawn’s Board of Trustees on behalf of the interment right owners. Roselawn’s founders realized that a cemetery organized in such a way would place its emphasis on excellence in operations and grounds maintenance.

The management of the cemetery’s finances has been prudent and careful, ever mindful of the commitment to quality perpetual care.

As a result, Roselawn is one of the most financially sound cemeteries in this area.

At Roselawn, each family receives a consultation specific to their needs. Our goal is to carefully explain all of the options available in a way that is comfortable and easy to understand.

Roselawn is non-denominational, non-sectarian and open to all.

Our Features

Community Mausoleum

Beautifully constructed bronze niche wall depicting a Northern Minnesota Lake. This sculpture is said to be the Largest Bronze Niche Wall in the World.

Veterans Memorial

The obelisk is seventeen feet high and is faced in black granite engraved with the emblems of all five branches of the U.S. Military. Memorial wall, niches, and ossuary

Split Rock Garden

Located near the Historic Roselawn Chapel, this limestone wall is the backdrop for this peaceful columbarium. Serene pond, gardens and sculpture add to the beauty.

Garden of Remembrance/Ossuary

Set into an embankment and accented with flowering topiary planters. It is a true work of beauty. And will forever be a peaceful resting place.

Traditional Lots

In ground burial lots for caskets. Monument lots, grave marker lots, single, double or family, we have many options.

Historical Chapel

Our historic chapel, designed by renowned architect Cass Gilbert, may be reserved by lot owners for funerals and memorial services.

Orchard View

Columbarium with a beautiful view of Roselawn Cemetery. Surrounded by orchard trees and a continuous bench.

Hidden Pines

Hidden Pines, our newest development, offers burial and cremation lots with the option private cremation memorials. The lots in Hidden Pines allow for as few as one urn or casket placement or as many as eighteen urn placements, depending on the needs of the individual or family.

Green/Natural Burial

Green or natural burial emphasizes simplicity and environmental sustainability. The body is neither cremated nor prepared with chemicals such as embalming fluids. It is simply placed in a biodegradable coffin or shroud and interred without a concrete burial vault.

The Fountain Columbaria

The Fountain Columbaria Division at Roselawn Cemetery is nestled in Division 2. The placement of this feature was inspired by many requests from families with loved ones buried at Roselawn Cemetery, wanting above ground cremation placement options closer to the southwest end of the cemetery. The custom fountain provides a sense of calm as it bubbles throughout the day. Each columbarium has 120 niche openings. Behind each niche door is space for the placement of two urns. The columbaria are constructed of honed Barre Gray granite (from the state of Vermont) and polished Mesabi Black Granite (from our great state of Minnesota). We are so pleased to be able to offer this new option for cremation urn placement.
